Scan a card and CardJar recognises it: the right name, the right colour, the right label for the number on the back. Every country's list is compiled into the app, so this works on a plane, in a basement car park, and on a phone that has never had a network.

A card CardJar has never heard of still works perfectly. You type a name, pick a colour, and it sits in the jar beside the rest. Recognition is a convenience, not a requirement.
Why the whole list ships inside the app
Most apps would fetch a retailer's logo when you add its card. That single request tells whoever runs the server that you hold a Boots card, and repeating it across a wallet rebuilds your entire card set out of an access log.
So CardJar does not do it. All five countries together are under a hundred kilobytes, they are compiled into the app, and the app makes no catalogue requests at all. A new list arrives with a new version of the app.

Put them all in at once
If your old app told you to screenshot your cards before it closed, point CardJar at the album. It reads every barcode out of every picture on the phone itself and names them from the list above.

CardJar is built and tested and is going through the last checks before the Play listing opens: Android and Wear OS first, iPhone and Apple Watch after. One message, when there is something to install, and nothing else ever.
